The purpose of this thesis project is to enhance a homeowner's safety when encountering a fire. The Soter: Enhanced Fire Extinguishing System eliminates the need for routine maintenance, is tamper-proof and uses an enhanced system to alert a home-security department once activated. If needed, they may also have direct contact to their local fire department.
 
The ergonomics of The Soter is developed to be more user-friendly and easier to carry while keeping a person safe from harm. By using a 3A40BC dry chemical, it provides an eco-friendly solution while also extinguishing a fire or keeping it from spreading. It also is able to detect a fire and sound an alarm to alert homeowners of its whereabouts.
